Cortlandt Whitehead (1842-1922), graduated from Yale in 1863 and was ordained Deacon in Trinity Church, Newark, N.J. in 1867. He left for mission work in Colorado in August 1867, where he served at St. Paul's Church in Central City, St. Mark's Chapel in Black Hawk, and Grace Church in Georgetown.
